Plot

Fast Eddie Felson (Paul Newman) is a retired pool hustler who now owns a pool hall in Chicago. One day, he meets Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise),a young pool player with a lot of potential. Fast Eddie takes Vincent under his wing and teaches him the tricks of the trade. Together, they embark on a journey to make a comeback on the pool circuit.
