The secret to this trick is in the setup. You'll need to practice the setup a few times before you perform the trick so that you can do it smoothly and without hesitation.

The Setup

  1. Take a deck of cards and remove the jokers.
  2. Spread the cards face down on the table and have a spectator choose a card.
  3. Have the spectator place their card face down on top of the deck.
  4. Cut the deck at the spectator's card and place the top half of the deck on top of the bottom half.
  5. Now, the spectator's card is second from the top of the deck.

The Trick

  1. Hold the deck face down in your left hand and spread the cards slightly with your right hand.
  2. Ask the spectator to name their card.
  3. As they say the name of their card, use your right thumb to push the top card of the deck (which is the spectator's card) to the side.
  4. Continue spreading the cards with your right hand until you reach the spectator's card.
  5. Turn the spectator's card face up and show it to them.

Tips

* Practice the setup until you can do it smoothly and without hesitation. * When you're performing the trick, make sure to keep your eyes on the spectator and not on the cards. * If you make a mistake, don't panic. Just start over from the beginning. * With a little practice, you'll be able to perform this trick flawlessly.

Variations

There are many variations of this trick. Here are a few:

* You can have the spectator choose two cards instead of one. * You can have the spectator place their card anywhere in the deck, not just on top. * You can use a different type of deck, such as a tarot deck or a bridge deck.

Experiment with different variations to find one that you like the best.

This killer card trick is a great way to impress your friends and family. It's easy to learn and can be performed with any deck of cards. With a little practice, you'll be able to perform this trick flawlessly.
