Frankie is a young woman who is trying to find her place in the world. She is bright and ambitious, but she is also haunted by the memory of her father, who was killed by a white man when she was a child. Frankie's mother is a strong woman who has raised her on her own, but she is also struggling to make ends meet. Frankie and her mother live in a poor neighborhood, and they are often the victims of racism and discrimination.

One day, Frankie is walking home from school when she sees a white woman lying on the side of the road. The woman is unconscious, and Frankie tries to help her. The woman opens her eyes and looks at Frankie, and then she dies. Frankie is shocked and scared, and she runs home to tell her mother what happened.

Frankie's mother is worried about her daughter, but she also knows that they can't call the police. They are afraid that the police will not believe them, or that they will accuse Frankie of something she didn't do. Frankie and her mother decide to keep the woman's death a secret.

But Frankie can't stop thinking about the woman. She starts seeing her everywhere she goes, and she starts to hear her voice. Frankie knows that the woman is a ghost, and she is terrified. She doesn't know what the ghost wants, or why she is haunting her.

Frankie tries to ignore the ghost, but she can't. The ghost is always there, and she is always watching Frankie. Frankie starts to lose her mind, and she becomes withdrawn and isolated. She stops going to school, and she starts to neglect her appearance. Frankie's mother is worried about her, but she doesn't know what to do.

One day, Frankie is walking through the woods when she sees the ghost again. The ghost is standing in the middle of the path, and she is blocking Frankie's way. Frankie tries to run, but the ghost is faster than her. The ghost grabs Frankie and drags her into the woods.

Frankie is terrified, but she also knows that she has to face the ghost. She has to find out why the ghost is haunting her, and she has to find a way to make her go away. Frankie takes a deep breath and asks the ghost, "What do you want?"

The ghost looks at Frankie and says, "I want you to tell my story." Frankie is confused. "What story?" she asks.

"The story of my life," the ghost says. "The story of how I was killed."

Frankie is shocked. She didn't know that the ghost was murdered. "Who killed you?" she asks.

"A white man," the ghost says. "He killed me because I was black."

Frankie is horrified. She can't believe that someone would kill someone else just because of their race. "I'm so sorry," she says.

"I know," the ghost says. "But I need you to tell my story. I need you to tell the world what happened to me."

Frankie knows that she has to do what the ghost asks. She has to tell the ghost's story, and she has to make sure that the world knows what happened to her.

Frankie goes to the police and tells them what she knows. The police are skeptical at first, but they eventually agree to investigate. The police find the ghost's body, and they arrest the man who killed her. The man is convicted of murder, and he is sentenced to life in prison.

Frankie is relieved that the ghost's killer has been brought to justice. She knows that the ghost can now rest in peace.

Black Ice is a powerful and moving novel about the ways in which the past can continue to haunt the present. The novel explores the themes of race, class, and gender, and it is a story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.
