I was born in the early 1980s, at the dawn of the personal computer revolution. My parents were both engineers, and they brought home one of the first IBM PCs when I was just a toddler. I was fascinated by the machine, and I spent hours playing games and typing on it. By the time I was in elementary school, I was writing my own simple programs in BASIC.

In high school, I took a computer science course, and I was immediately hooked. I loved learning about how computers work, and I was excited by the potential they had to change the world. I went on to study computer science in college, and after graduating, I got a job as a software engineer.
