Early Life and Education
Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, a couple who lived in Mountain View, California. Jobs attended Homestead High School, where he developed a strong interest in electronics and technology. He dropped out of Reed College in Oregon after just six months, but continued to audit classes and attend lectures that interested him.
Founding of Apple
In 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple Computer Inc. with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. The three friends had worked together to build the Apple I personal computer, which was released in 1976. The Apple II, released in 1977, was a huge success and helped to establish Apple as a leader in the personal computer industry.
Challenges and Successes
Jobs faced many challenges throughout his career. In 1985, he was forced out of Apple by the board of directors after a power struggle. However, he returned to Apple in 1997 and led the company to unprecedented success. Under his leadership, Apple released the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, all of which became iconic products.
Legacy
Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011, at the age of 56, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential figures in the history of technology. His vision, innovation, and leadership helped to shape the modern world.
