Their love letters, which were written over a period of many years, are a beautiful and inspiring expression of their deep love and devotion for each other and for the teachings of the Buddha.

Namtrul Rinpoche was born into a wealthy family in the Kham region of Tibet. He was a brilliant child and quickly mastered the traditional Tibetan Buddhist teachings. At the age of 19, he met Jigme Kunga Gyeltsen, who was a young monk from the Nyingma tradition. The two men quickly became close friends and spiritual companions. They spent many years studying and practicing together, and their love for each other grew stronger over time.

In 1892, Namtrul Rinpoche and Jigme Kunga Gyeltsen were both invited to teach at the great monastery of Ganden in Lhasa. They spent the next several years teaching and practicing together, and their reputation as great masters grew. In 1900, they were both appointed to the position of abbot of Ganden, and they served in this role for many years.

In 1904, Namtrul Rinpoche and Jigme Kunga Gyeltsen were forced to flee Lhasa due to political unrest. They spent the next several years traveling and teaching in eastern Tibet. In 1910, they were invited to return to Lhasa, and they spent the rest of their lives teaching and practicing there.

Namtrul Rinpoche and Jigme Kunga Gyeltsen were both great masters of the Dharma, and their teachings have had a profound impact on Tibetan Buddhism. My dearest friend,

I am writing to you from a faraway land, but my heart is with you always. I miss you more than words can say.

I remember the day we first met, as if it were yesterday. We were both young and full of hope. We spent many happy years together, studying and practicing the Dharma. We shared our joys and sorrows, and we supported each other through thick and thin.

I am forever grateful for your love and friendship. You have been my constant companion on this spiritual journey. You have helped me to grow and to become a better person. I owe you everything.

I do not know when I will see you again, but I pray that it will be soon. Until then, I will cherish the memories of our time together. I will keep your love in my heart always.

With love,

Namtrul
