In 622 CE, Abd Al Rahman Amr Al Awza migrated to Medina with the Prophet Muhammad. He fought in the Battle of Badr, the first major battle of the Muslims against the Meccans. He also participated in the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of the Trench.

After the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in 628 CE, Abd Al Rahman Amr Al Awza was sent by the Prophet Muhammad to negotiate with the Byzantine governor of Egypt. He was successful in securing a peace treaty between the Muslims and the Byzantines.

The Conquest of Egypt

In 640 CE, Abd Al Rahman Amr Al Awza was appointed by Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab to lead the Muslim conquest of Egypt. He led a force of 4,000 men across the Sinai Peninsula and into Egypt. He defeated the Byzantine army at the Battle of Heliopolis and entered Cairo in 641 CE.

Abd Al Rahman Amr Al Awza was a wise and just ruler. He established a stable government in Egypt and promoted the spread of Islam. He also built the Great Mosque of Amr ibn al-As in Cairo, which is one of the oldest mosques in the world.

Later Life and Legacy
